• 2024- MARCH 8 International Women’s Day

    ICAA hosted the community discussion on the occasion of International Women's Day March 8. The newcomer community members from the GTA region gathered at the ICAA Gallery to celebrate Women's Day and talk about the challenges and opportunities ahead. ICAA art instructor made a presentation that was followed by a hot debate about the newcomer challenges and cultural revitalization. Participants viewed the ICAA's latest exhibition and spoke with the author of the art pieces.

  • Access to Art Classes for Low-Income Youth

    2023-2024 Since the end of COVID-19 and the reopening of the organization's doors, ICAA has been offering free art classes to newcomer and low-income youth in the Central and North End of Hamilton. ICAA Volunteers and art teachers are providing art sessions free of charge. Art instructors donated their time while ICAA purchased more art supplies. ICAA art classes are open every Saturday from 12 to 3 pm.

  • ICAA Art Talks- Reserve your spot for the 2024 Sessions

    iART Gallery at ICAA will continue the ArtTalk program for established and emerging artists. We want to invite up to 10 artists per event to work, share their experiences, and discuss the issues around the art and culture in Hamilton and the region. The ArtTalk will take place every last Saturday of the Month at 1 pm. starting 25th of May, 2024 ICAA will provide space and art supplies (easels, paint, space, focussed lighting, paper, pencil) Please RSVP by emailing icaa@immigrant art.org one week
