Yar TARAKY
Born in Afghanistan
on 25 February, 1964. Son of Afghan writer-ethnographer.
Yar M. Taraky
received his first art lessons with an Afghan senior Artist and teacher
- Khair Mohammed. Attended courses of visual arts, sponsored by the
ministry of Culture of Afghanistan in 1975. His first participation
in the Art competition took place in the early 1977, where he received
an art award. In 1982, Yar participated in junior art exhibition in
Kabul followed by series of visual art functions and shows. In 1991
he entered the Behzad Academy of fine arts in Tashkent Uzbekistan. During
the 3 years of master degree program, Yar created more concepts and
ideas for future work. In 1994, artist defended his masters degree in
Fine Arts. "My journey continues for art and culture. This is the best
way of serving the humanity", says Yar M. Taraky.
Yar organized 16
solo exhibitions and shows in different parts of the world including
Asia Europe and America. His paintings decorated offices; houses and
cultural centers in Russia, Poland, Indonesia, United States of America,
United Arab Emirates and India. The Asia and Pacific
Museum in Warsaw
(Poland) hold a collection of Yar's paintings and hand sketches. The
above Museum organized a personal exhibition of Yar M. Taraky paintings
in 1991.
Yar's concept of
the human and it's division through paint and color synthesis makes
this kind of paintings more monumental and decorative.This concept creates
links between the human and his/her inner world from one side and the
nature from another side.
For more than 5
years, Yar is working on Music and musical traditions. His latest paintings,
drawings and sketches show variety of paintings with a positive manner
of celebrity and optimism. Yar has been linked to music through his
heart and his paints. It is like what he says " The way I paint music
and dance I feel that I am playing music myself."
