On March 21st, 2013 the ICAA held its First Annual Fundraising Gala where more than 260 participants and supporters came together to celebrate the organization’s achievements and contributions to newcomer, immigrant and low income artists and aspiring art students. The event was initiated and driven by the ICAA’s Board of Directors.
The net proceeds from this event were directed towards ICAA’s Professional Art Education Program and its Mentorship Program for newcomer, immigrant and low income artists.
The ICAA received tremendous contributions from supporters, local community organizations and businesses. As a result of its First Fundraising Gala the ICAA has been able to sustain both programs for the next year.
The star studded event brought together current Mayor Bob Bratina and former City Mayor Larry Di lanni. The Gala was emceed by the wonderful Connie Smith as the emcee and key note speaker Renée Wetselaar who was a former ICAA Board Member and a long time supporter of ICAA’s work in the community.
