Professional Art Education – Registration for Summer Semester – May 25, 2013

The ICAA hosted its Summer Registration Event on May 25th, 2013 for students who were interested in registering for the Professional Art Program’s summer semester. The ICAA officially announced the funds received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to support the organization’s work to immigrant culture and art as well as its commitment to making professional art instruction and mentorship available to newcomers, immigrants, low income artists

ICAA’s First Annual Fundraising Gala – March 21, 2013

On March 21st, 2013 the ICAA held its First Annual Fundraising Gala where more than 260 participants and supporters came together to celebrate the organization’s achievements and contributions to newcomer, immigrant and low income artists and aspiring art students. The event was initiated and driven by the ICAA’s Board of Directors. The net proceeds from this event were directed towards ICAA’s Professional Art Education Program and its Mentorship

ICAA Secures Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant 2013 – 2015

The Immigrant Art and Culture Association will be receiving $62,800 over three years from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to increase supports for newcomer artists and youth by funding an executive director role that would also develop programs and strengthen the capacity and sustainability of this organization

End of Semester Student Exhibition – March 10, 2013

On March 10th, 2013 the ICAA ended its fall semester of the Professional Art Education program which included wood burning class, sketching and painting classes. The semester also included 3 different dance classes in the areas of Ballet, Spanish dance and South Indian dance. Hamilton World Music Concert & Art Bazaar – March 2, 2013

On March 2nd, 2013 the Raga Music School hosted the Hamilton World Music Concert and Art Bazaar in partnership with the ICAA and Matapa Music and Art Organization. A concert was hosted for 100 guests with performers Sundar Viswanathan, Mate Szingeti, Emma Rush, Neeraj Prem, Adrean Farrugia, Anita Hiripi, Sara Traficante and Prem Tiwari. The event was followed by an art market where ICAA sponsored 10 artists to  exhibit and sell their artistic crafts.
